The Power of Mind Psychometry
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind psychometry is essentially your ability to read an objects history. An object is imprinted by its various owners throughout its history. Our minds are able to read the energy people leave behind, and that is the basis of how psychometry, or token-object reading, works. You can work on this psychic talent with nearly any object, but you would probably be better off working with something that you do not own yourself. That way, you will not be influenced by what you already know about the item. Instead, try something in a friend’s house, so that what you sense can be checked.
Hold the object in your hand and let the power of mind flow over it. Try not to react immediately, but gather your first impressions. You may not necessarily see a vision of a past owner, but instead feel an emotional response, or some sort of other impression. Let the psychic information come to you, and do not force it. Your impressions may not make any sense, especially when you are a beginner at psychometry, but pay attention to them anyway.
You can also practice this exercise in a group setting, having everyone bring an object to be read. Some common choices include jewelry and photographs, but try not to feel limited to these items. Everyone will take an item, selected at random, and record their impressions. You can do this out loud, or silently. Having several people in a room together is a great way to help boost the power of mind, as you are more likely to tap into the group’s collective subconscious.
If you find that you do well with psychometry in a group setting, but are having difficulties with it on your own, you should try meditating beforehand. Being in a psychic state is crucial to making the most of your psychic talents and abilities, and psychometry is no exception. It might sound obvious, but if you are not a believer of your own talents, they will not develop. You might feel pressured to succeed in your psychic endeavors, but when you feel free to experiment with your talents, you are far more likely to excel than when you are stressed out or doing it for other reasons than your own. Give your psychic abilities a try and be sure to note your progress in not only psychometry, but also in the power of mind.
The Power of Mind Precognition
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind features the talent of precognition, also known as future sight. Precognition is the psychic talent of acquiring information, generally information of the near future, through means outside of the five primary senses. Instead of learning about something through various types of reasoning or logic, you will obtain this knowledge through the mind, often through the third or mind’s eye.
If you are looking to enhance your precognitive abilities in a casual setting, there are many ways to do this, even when you are running your daily errands or going about your daily business. Try predicting which cashier will ring you up when you are waiting in line to buy something. While playing a board game with the family or friends, try predicting if the roll of the dice will be even or odd. When you have achieved a success rate noticeably higher than fifty percent, you can begin to predict what the numbers on the dice might read. Whether you choose to predict the total sum of the two dice or the number that might show up on each individual die, you will be working to improve the mind power of precognition.
If you like working with a partner to help power the mind, you can try this exercise. Select three distinct objects, each one different from the others. Regular household objects will do. You can choose something like a fork, a drinking glass, a magazine, a piece of jewelry or any small item you can find in your house will do. Set the items in front of your partner, and ask him or her to select one at random. Before he or she chooses, you should choose which one you feel your partner will choose. In other words, you predict what your friend will choose, and then your friend chooses.
Another way you can work on strengthening your precognition is to keep a dream journal. You should write down anything that stands out from your night’s dreams and see if any of the images, impressions or feelings from your nightly visions manifest in reality. We all dream, and though many dreams are not memorable, we often wake with some impressions or thoughts on what our subconscious mind has shown us while we were sleeping. Any of these exercises and techniques are sure to help you become stronger in your psychic talent of precognition, as well as providing a strong way to power the mind.
The Power of Mind Divination
by Irwin on Jan.12, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind development is a process you can take up in even the smallest amounts of spare time. Divination is a psychic talent that is a more involved method of using precognition. If you have ever read any of the Harry Potter books or if you saw the movies, you might remember divination class, and some of the methods the kids used. While Harry Potter is obviously a work of fiction, many divination practices are real and have firm believers. For example, you can try reading tea leaves or tarot cards. There is a nearly endless supply of ways to try out divination. When you practice these, you are also working on precognition, even if it is future sight seen through a medium.
If you enjoy a nice cup of hot tea, you should try reading tea leaves. Begin with a loose tea leaf, as opposed to a teabag. You should use a white or lightly colored teacup so the leaves stand out clearly. As your water for tea heats, put your tea leaves on a saucer and stir them around. This puts the power of mind and your energy into them. One of the most important tips for brewing your tea for divination purposes is to brew the tea without straining it. If you strain it, you will have no leaves to read. Once you have brewed your tea, you should think of a specific question as you sip it. Be careful not to drink any tea leaves and to leave a bit of liquid in the cup.
In your left hand, swirl the liquid and leaves in the cup clockwise three times. Cover the cup with your right hand and swirl the leaves up around the sides. Look for various formations in the cup. Unlike many fictional representations of tea reading, you are not likely to see a literal shape. There are symbols to learn, however. A triangle is a sign of good karma whereas a square shows a need to be cautious. A circle is a sign of success. Letters often signify a loved one or a friend, and numbers indicate a span of time. There will also be many random clumps. It is then up to you to decipher what each bit looks like. Your instincts and the power of mind should guide you as to what these seemingly meaningless shapes look like. Some examples could be an oak tree that symbolizes health, a lock symbolizes obstacles, or a witch foreshadows a strange happening.
As with other divination techniques, the images are significant of other things than their literal meanings. Learning about common symbols can help you become more adept at reading tea leaves and other aspects of divination and even precognition. Keep working and practicing to feel a noticeable increase in the power of mind.
The Power of Mind Clairvoyance
by Irwin on Jan.12, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind features many different aspects, and it can be a challenge to keep them straight at times. Clairvoyance is often confused with precognition, but is more along the lines of remote viewing. Literally meaning “clear vision,” clairvoyance is the psychic ability to obtain information through sight that you have no basis for knowing. These could be visions of the future, but unlike precognition, they are not always a glimpse into what has yet to occur.
Exercise is very important to developing and strengthening your clairvoyance. For this exercise, begin by selecting a place that you are familiar with, but not somewhere you go regularly. You will not be working in this space, but rather viewing it from afar. A room in a friend’s house might work for this, just as long as there is an element of mystery to the space. A public location also works well. A library or other quiet environment you do not visit regularly works wonders, especially if you have a general grasp of its layout. The goal of this exercise is to use the power of mind to create a clairvoyant telescope. This will help you be able to look into a location of your choice once your psychic talents have become stronger.
Imagine a telescope inside your mind. It can look however you choose. Focus the eye of your mental telescope onto your chosen location. If you chose a library, try picturing on an aisle of books. Then close in on a particular shelf. Take notice of the books on the shelf. You might even want to write down the specific books so that you can check your results. It would be unwise for you to preemptively make lists of books on various shelves in the library, as these will be on your mind. Taking that measure will inhibit your psychic growth.
To use your psychic telescope in other facets. Try out working with a partner over the internet or by telephone. Like the previous exercise, this works best when you are somewhat familiar with the space you are scanning. Have a friend move around some objects in his or her room, which can be any room in their house, and use the power of mind to spot the locations of various objects. You do not have to look for the things they have moved around. Just the fact that you are exercising your psychic telescope is enough to increase your clairvoyance and enhance the power of mind.
Power Your Mind for Telepathy
by Irwin on Jan.12, 2010, under Psychic
Power your mind if you are a beginner to telepathy by selecting the best exercises to practice your psychic skills. Telepathy is one of the most well-known mental talents, and as a result of its prominence, there are quite a few exercises to choose from. Since the talent often requires that you work with a partner, many of the exercises and practices also feature partner work. From a budding stage of telepathy up until you have achieved a great prowess in the skill, working with a partner is one of, if not the singular best way to improve your telepathy skills.
Beginning telepaths should choose a partner they know well. Choose a friend or loved one because you will have easier access to their minds. Like many telepathy exercises, this one involves cards. Begin by sitting on the opposite side of the room from your partner. You can easily use a standard deck of playing cards for this activity, but be aware that playing cards provide fifty-two options of cards you can draw. You can narrow it down to thirteen if you choose only the value of the card, four if you choose only the suit, and two if you only select the color. While it may seem frivolous to work with as few as two choices, you may find it helpful to power your mind under such little pressure.
From across the room, try to broadcast the image of your card to your friend. You may want to think of your mind as a psychic speaker, in the sense that you are broadcasting a message. Whether you chose to transmit only the colors, or the individual cards, your partner should record their results. After transmitting the entire deck, check for accuracy. Regardless of how satisfied with your work, you should try again. Shuffle the cards and go through the entire deck again. Be sure to stop and take a break if you get bored. After two or three rounds sending the messages, try swapping roles. Depending on how you power your mind, you might be a better receiver than you are a sender.
Even though you may be stronger in one aspect of telepathy over another, performing this exercise will not only strengthen your strong suit, but also improve your weaker half. While this activity might sound daunting to your partner, they should be prepared not to receive exact messages, but rather impressions or feelings. For example, if the receiver in this activity feels that the card is a woman, it is likely a queen. Keep working on your partner work and before you know it, you will boost your telepathy and power your mind.
Power Your Mind for Second Sight
by Irwin on Jan.12, 2010, under Psychic
Power your mind through exercise and it will grows stronger, just like your body. Regardless of what kind of power you seek to enhance, there is bound to be some sort of method by which you can foster its growth. For many talents, there are multiple options. Second sight is one of the many talents under the umbrella term of ESP or extra-sensory perception, and is very much like precognition. The primary difference between the two is that second sight, also known as foresight, is always a visual image, whereas precognition is any sort of knowledge acquirement.
There are many ways to develop your ESP talents, but you might be wondering if you have them to begin with. Some signs of potential extra-sensory perception include feelings you get, hunches, or being able to predict who is calling you when the phone rings. While you might want to explain this away as simple intuition, think of it as psychic talent in order to power your mind. One way you can test your intuition is to act on your gut feelings. If you feel trepidations about something you plan on doing that day, avoid it. Likewise, if you feel a compulsion to do something unplanned, also give it a shot. You likely will be very glad you listened to your instincts.
Second sight is basically the vision of your third eye. It might help you to think of your third eye as your mind’s eye, so as not to get confused. Relying on your five senses is a detriment to this vision. To begin loosening up your sense of sight, try examining some optical illusions. This will help you begin to see things outside the box.
One exercise you can do to begin boosting not only second sight, but your ESP talents in general is to work with a set of cards that are color coded. You may want to start with around five cards, and add more as you power your mind and develop a stronger sixth sense. Begin by meditating and clearing your mind. Next, take your color-coded deck of cards, and close your eyes. Place a card to your forehead. Within fifteen seconds you should be able to sense its color, as different hues have different energies. Be sure to check your results. This is a great exercise because it is simple, fun, and helpful in a range of psychic talents. It is bound to help you power your mind.
Power Your Mind for Mediumship
by Irwin on Jan.12, 2010, under Psychic
Power your mind for mediumship, and you will tap into your psychic talents in a way you may not expect. If you suspect that you have some amount of medium ability, or you would like to try out some exercises to see if you have any prowess, there are several options to consider that will help you not only become aware of your medium skills, but also help you enhance them.
Some people are naturally gifted with a strong aptitude for being a medium. For the rest of us it is necessary to build up our energy field through meditation. In as little as ten to twenty minutes daily, you can fight away negative energy and make yourself more attuned to the spirit world. It would also be a wise idea to try to ground your energy field by imagining your feet as tree roots extending into the earth, tapping into the planet’s energy. This energy should fill your body from the bottom up. This will not only strengthen your field, but also assist in aligning your chakras. After grounding your energy, it is necessary to clear it. To do this, you will need to power your mind and meditate with a focus on surrounding yourself in a white energy that removes any darkness.
Power your mind by trying some exercises in clairvoyance and other similar skills, such as clairaudience and clairsentience. You are likely to be more gifted in one clairvoyant ability over another, which is a perfectly natural occurrence. This ability will become your primary method of communing with the spirit world. If you are stronger in clairaudience than any other form of clairvoyance, you are most likely to hear audible communication from the dead.
If you are more gifted in telepathy, then you will most likely get mental impressions. Know your strengths and piggyback on them to communicate with spirits, if that is your goal. Keep in mind that there are forces of good and forces of evil and you must exhibit caution when tampering with this area of the psychic world.
If you are seeking to contact a professional medium, be aware that this skill is not the ability to read minds. This power has to do with communicating with spirits. While you may think that mediumship allows for something along the lines of what you might see in a horror movie, that is absolutely not the case. A medium is able to tap into the energy of the spirit world through their own strengthened energy fields. Should you decide to take up an attempt to increase your medium abilities, be sure you know what you are getting into and know what to expect when you begin to power your mind.
Power Your Mind for Empathy
by Irwin on Jan.11, 2010, under Psychic
Power your mind for empathy by learning about how psychic empathy varies from its emotional counterpart, and then exercise the talent to further enhance this powerful skill. Emotional empathy is when you literally share the feelings of someone else. Maybe you have found yourself in a certain situation and know the kind of thoughts the person would be thinking. Psychic empathy is the willed ability to sense and read the feelings of others.
If you find yourself uncomfortable around certain people for no reason, or you experience odd feelings that seem to have no basis, then you are likely experiencing psychic empathy. Empathy is similar to other psychic talents, such as intuition and clairsentience that give you some sort of knowledge that you have no background to know. Some signs that you have a natural aptitude for empathy would be a natural inclination to sense the feelings of others, an acute awareness of your surroundings and even a deep understanding of body language. One way you can begin to improve your empathy is to power your mind to study the psychology of facial expressions and body language.
Once you are well aware and more sensitive to silent physical signals, you will be able to strengthen your psychic empathy talents. Learning to connect is one of the greatest ways to power your mind for empathy, and there are two ways to do that. The first way to form an empathetic connection is to visualize yourself merging with who or what you want to empathize with. With your mind’s eye, visualize either yourself merging into the person or object or try imagining it the other way around, the selected person or object blending with you. Once connected, you should be able to feel the link between you.
The second method of connecting is through the chakras. To connect through this method, you should visualize an energy rope connecting between your chakras and those of the person you will be empathizing. The chakras should match up, meaning your crown chakra could match up with the crown chakra of your partner. For both the chakra connection and the merging visualization methods of connecting, it is important to disconnect after finishing your session of empathy. Otherwise, you could remain connected and keep experiencing empathic visions. To disconnect, simply visualize your connection dissipating. If you used the chakra method, imagine your energy ropes retreating back to you. Try empathetically connecting to as many people as possible via whichever method you prefer, and you should be able to foster a strong ability when you power your mind.
Mind Subconscious Training
by Irwin on Jan.11, 2010, under Psychic
Mind subconscious training is a way to tap into the most powerful part of your being. Your unconscious or subconscious mind is the portion of your mind that you’re generally not aware of. That’s why they call it the unconscious portion of your mind. However, you can access and direct this powerhouse to your benefit. Though it might be easy to think that you are incapable of communicating with the subconscious mind, with discipline and hard work, you can get in touch with the mind subconscious and help encourage it to steer you towards a greater amount of success and happiness.
Repetition is one of your greatest tools to help you train your subconscious mind. When you repeat your goals to yourself, your subconscious is more likely to work with you to help achieve your aspirations. Whether you repeat these goals mentally, spoken aloud, or even both, the more you say or think it, the better your mind will work to help you. You might be wondering how this works. These repetitions send a trigger in your mind that you are motivated for success, and that you will achieve your goals.
It might be very frustrating to have to work toward even smaller goals because as a population, we have become so used to instant gratification in the age of email and text messages. However, perseverance is key to achieving the greatest, most satisfying goals. If you ever feel that your goal is too lofty to achieve, try meditating. Meditation will help you relax, reinforce your goals and program your subconscious mind to achieve them. You might be tempted to give it up as you are very near your goal, but patience and persistence are great ways to train your mind subconscious to help you succeed.
Meditation is probably the most effective way to get in touch with your subconscious mind, which is made up of all your thoughts and beliefs. A regular meditation practice will help you reflect on all the things running through your mind. It will also help you to control those thought and direct them to your benefit instead of your detriment.
Going on any sort of self-discovery mission is a fantastic way to help put you in closer contact with your subconscious mind. If a regular meditation schedule works for you, keep up the good work. Some people might look for something more involved, and there are plenty of options. Whether you choose to read a book on self-discovery or take a course on it with a professional guide or motivational speaker, you are bound to notice an improvement in your subconscious mind with increased self-awareness. From repetition and perseverance to self-discovery and meditation, there are numerous helpful ways to enhance the level of communication between you and your mind subconscious.
Mind Subconscious Dowsing
by Irwin on Jan.11, 2010, under Psychic
Mind subconscious dowsing is one way to express your psychic talents. You may have heard of dowsing referred to as water witching. While this is a common practice of divination, dowsing can also be a tactic for implementing intuition skills through the use of foreign objects such as a pendulum. It works through tapping into your subconscious mind to seek an answer to a question through psychic means.
The first step in learning to dowse with a pendulum is, naturally, selecting the pendulum. You can use any household light, but weighted object tied to a string, or a proper pendulum that you have purchased specifically for the task. You should feel a connection to the item used as a pendulum. Your subconscious mind will trigger feelings toward the object, which are more important than a logical selection of which tool you use.
Mind subconscious dowsing, just like learning any other talent, will require lots of practice for you to master the skill. At first the answers you receive might not be clear, but in time you will be able to easily distinguish a yes from a no, or be able to decipher more complex answers. You can begin to read your pendulum better by asking questions that you already know the answer to. When you focus your energy on the dowsing pendulum, you will be more comfortable reading the answers.
You can learn to dowse in alternative ways. If you do not like the idea of using a foreign object, you can learn to dowse with your fingers. Make a loop with the forefinger and thumb of one hand, and then loop the same fingers on the other hand through this loop. Focus your energy into this bond. Think of the question you want answered. You might want to say it out loud, or simply repeat it silently, allowing it to echo through your mind subconscious. Then try to pull the loops apart. Generally speaking, if the two loops hold, the answer is yes, but if you break contact the answer is no. Of course, for this practice you may want to try asking a few questions you know the answer to in order to test how your personal set of dowsers works.
Better yet, find someone to ask you questions that you don’t know the answers to and see if this psychic technique works for you. Practicing intuition by means of dowsing is a serious exercise that can also be fun, and whichever method you choose is bound to assist in the strengthening of your mind subconscious.
