Mind Subconscious Psionics
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
Mind subconscious abilities fall into the wide spectrum of psychic talents known as psionics. Psionics is a branch of psychic powers in which the mind induces so-called paranormal phenomena. Powers such as telepathy and telekinesis fall into this branch of psychic abilities. Psionics is a precursor to the ability to develop and demonstrate psychic power. And that precursor is called concentration. A great way to begin strengthening any psionic ability is to work on your concentration level. While you may think you already concentrate very well, there is almost always room for improvement in the mind subconscious.
Improving your ability to concentrate is a skill that will not enhance just one psychic attribute, but will aid you in improving the whole lot of them, as well as other aspects of your life. For this exercise you will need a small piece of colored paper that is a different color than the walls of the room you intend to practice in. A Post-It note will work fine, as it is self-adhesive. The shape of the paper does not matter, but you will have to tape it to the wall, provided you are not using a Post-It. Tape the piece of paper to the wall at around eye level. You can be either sitting or standing for this activity, so keep that in mind when you are adhering the paper to the wall.
The next stage of this activity involves some heavy-duty effort from your mind subconscious. Focus only on the paper. Force thoughts out of your head. You want wordless concentration. When you first begin this exercise, you may not be able to focus so completely, so try doing this exercise for only about thirty seconds to a minute. Build up your concentration stamina so that you can concentrate in this method until you can do it for around three minutes. Your attention should never wander from the paper taped to the wall.
Other exercises to work on concentration can involve specialized images that force you to concentrate on specific images. You can also work with optical illusions to help your mind function in different ways. Another option would be to do variations of the activity outlined above. You could work with a smaller piece of paper on the wall, or do something that could possibly play soft music that could potentially distract you. Try out a variety of ways to bump up your concentration-building techniques. A stronger ability to concentrate should provide a great improvement in your psychic talents. After working on this exercise, take note of how your psionic prowess improves by working with the mind subconscious.
Power Your Mind for Channeling
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
Power your mind for psychic talents, just like any muscle in the human body, by exercising in order to develop strength. Similarly, throughout your life you are constantly exercising these talents in small ways, just as you naturally exercise your body without physically exerting yourself.
Channeling is a type of mediumship that involves a message in the form of energy to be transferred between the medium and another entity. These messages can be either transmitted or received. This varies from similar psychic abilities like clairvoyance in that the medium is usually in an altered state of consciousness while channeling.
Power your mind for this psychic talent by beginning with concentration exercises that will hlep you visualize images and people in your mind. You can work on this attribute by focusing on a photograph and doing your best to memorize it in a set time interval. One minute is a good starting place. You will then attempt to visually recreate the image in your head. It might be best to start off with either a simple image or a familiar picture, as it will be easier to recreate.
It is also very helpful to keep a record of your progress. Maybe a journal will do the trick. Try jotting down the date, what you tried to accomplish, and your results. As you get further along, you can note your progress from your earlier ventures.
Reaching an altered state is the second necessity to performing channeling. This can be a challenge, and you will very likely have to practice before you can perform it at will. Meditating will likely bring you to the right state. Visualize the person or entity that you wish to channel. Ask them your questions. See what they have to say. I will often channel people who know the answers to my questions or problems and try to discern what they would say about them. Generally, I channel people with expertise in those areas or people whose opinions I respect. I always express appreciation and gratitude to those I channel after the session is over.
If meditation does not work for you, know that there are other options. One way you can attempt to reach this trance-like state is by partaking in an activity that is calming, yet active, as well as something you enjoy doing. For example, if you enjoy arts and crafts you can try to draw or doodle to power your mind. The work you create could be a tangible outcome of your channeling experience. And you do not have to be a great talent to reach trance in such a manner. If you enjoy music, even the most basic humming or singing in the shower could lead you to a medium experience. You may be unsure whether or not you have connected with a spiritual entity or not, but remember that practice makes perfect when you are aiming to power your mind.
Mind Subconscious Scrying
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
Mind subconscious scrying is a divination ability that lets you see psychic visions through a medium, typically a crystal or other clear surface. You may be familiar with the stereotype of gypsy fortune tellers using a crystal ball to foresee the future, but you can work on this power just as you can work on other divination and psychic mind powers. There were a series of laboratory tests known as Ganzfield experiments that have worked toward proving the existence of psi abilities. You do not need a laboratory setting to work on your scrying talent, however, as there are exercises you can do in your own home to test and improve your ability.
Many psychics and mediums like to use a scrying mirror. Crystals might yield results, but they can be very expensive, especially for someone new to scrying. A scrying mirror is something you can construct for around five dollars, depending on where you purchase your components. Begin with a picture frame. The shape does not matter that much, but it should absolutely have a glass insert, as opposed to plastic. If you go to any discount store such as Wal-Mart, Target or even a dollar store, you should be able to find something to suit the purpose.
Once you have your mirror, you will dissemble it by removing the insert from the frame. Clean one side of the remaining glass with glass cleaner, and then coat that side with a thick application of black paint. No light should pass through the glass, so you should apply however many coats of paint are necessary. Reassemble the mirror, placing the painted side inside the frame. Your mirror is ready to use to develop mind subconscious psychic talents through scrying.
The procedure for scrying is very simple and straightforward, but it can be a challenge to perfect. Begin with a brief meditation session, and then prepare your room for the activity. Dim lighting, calming music and incense are things you may want to have to set the mood and create the proper atmosphere. Place your scrying mirror on a table at a convenient level for you. It should be propped up at a slight angle, and many small picture frames include a stand that would suit such a purpose. Focus on the mirror, keeping your mind subconscious clear.
If after twenty minutes nothing has happened, you should end your scrying session and try again later. The concept is to see images in the blackness that have meaning to you or that speak to you. Practice by looking directly, then indirectly into the blackened glass. See which approach looks best for you. Images can appear in various ways, so be prepared for anything from a cloudy blur to something very specific or even outlandish. Keep practicing and you will notice an improvement in this skill of the mind subconscious.
Power Your Mind for Premonition
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
Power your mind for premonition in similar ways that you would for almost any other extra-sensory perception or ESP ability. Premonition is often a gut feeling of something that will happen in the future, but it can also be more than that. It is not unheard of for premonitions to manifest as hallucinations or dreams. If you feel that you have this ability but are not in control of it, there are measures to take that will put you in charge of this talent.
One way you can power your mind for premonition is to get a better sense of the psychic energy around you. There are several ways to go about doing this, and one thing you can try is using crystals. Different crystals have different properties and behaviors, but if you use certain types of crystals, you will likely notice an energy increase when you are meditating or practicing other psychic talents. When you figure out what is going to work best for you, you can combine different crystals and energies to pack a more powerful punch than you might have gotten from only one type of stone. Research crystals on the internet and try different combinations in your practice and see which ones yield the best results.
If you tend to receive dream premonitions, it would be wise to take some time before going to bed to prepare yourself for them. Performing some deep breathing exercises is a good idea, and you can also tell yourself affirmations that will likely lead to an increase in the power your mind has for premonitions. Tell yourself that you will have significant dreams, and also that you will remember them. While this may not be an instant fix, over time this will train your mind to achieve the success you desire. Keeping a dream journal will also help you follow the progress and detail of your dreams and premonitions. Keep a good record of what you dream, what you predict and what actually happens.
It may not be the easiest psychic talent to develop, but one of the key elements of strengthening premonition is to rely on your gut instincts. Any sort of unexplainable feelings you might experience could very well be premonitions of things to come. Throughout history there have been supposed instances of premonitions at work ranging from Nostradamus to Abraham Lincoln, and though there is little evidence to back up these claims, it is important to consider the possibility of them. Science provides an equally dismal amount of evidence that supports the existence of premonition and other ESP abilities. Then again, if you have had success with this psychic power or wish to develop it, stay the course, keep an open mind and sure enough you are bound to strengthen and power your mind.
The Power of Mind Clairalience
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind clairalience is, to put it simply, clairvoyance of the sense of smell. For example, during the day you might smell food despite none being nearby, only to find yourself eating that specific food for dinner. A more grim example of clairalience would be the smell of gunpowder if you are receiving a psychic scent from some sort of crime. Clairvoyant talents of the mind come in a variety of facets, and clairalience is one of them. Just as you can increase the others, you can enhance your talents for the smelling version of clairvoyance as well. Put in the time and practice and you will surely see a development in your abilities.
Clairalience is one of the harder clairvoyant talents to develop. If you are a beginner at developing psychic abilities, it might be best to work on other talents that are easier to work on and more useful. Scents can often be difficult to identify, and experiencing only scents might leave you confused. However, an advanced worker might find that the clairalience provides the power of mind a great opportunity to deepen understandings of other clairvoyant visions.
If you have decided to pursue the enhancement of your clairalient abilities, the first thing you should do is to develop a greater sense and ability to decipher scents all around you. For example, try naming specific flowers instead of saying you smell something floral. Roses, lilies, even sunflowers all have specific scents. Once you have developed a greater awareness for ambient scents, it is time to try meditating.
While meditating, see if you notice any scents. Perhaps these can be explained by something in the room—a scented candle or fresh laundry for example. Do any scents seem out of place? If you do not smell anything out of place, perhaps you could try a visualization exercise. Picture a room in your mind. Try picking a room you are at least somewhat familiar with. The room does not matter as much as it might in other exercises, as you are not focusing on what it looks like, but rather what it smells like. What kinds of smells would belong in this room? Is it a kitchen? Is something cooking? Does it smell clean? Ask yourself these questions until you can actually smell these things. This is no easy feat, so keep trying until you have mastered clairalience, another example of the power of mind.
The Power of Mind Psychometry
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind psychometry is essentially your ability to read an objects history. An object is imprinted by its various owners throughout its history. Our minds are able to read the energy people leave behind, and that is the basis of how psychometry, or token-object reading, works. You can work on this psychic talent with nearly any object, but you would probably be better off working with something that you do not own yourself. That way, you will not be influenced by what you already know about the item. Instead, try something in a friend’s house, so that what you sense can be checked.
Hold the object in your hand and let the power of mind flow over it. Try not to react immediately, but gather your first impressions. You may not necessarily see a vision of a past owner, but instead feel an emotional response, or some sort of other impression. Let the psychic information come to you, and do not force it. Your impressions may not make any sense, especially when you are a beginner at psychometry, but pay attention to them anyway.
You can also practice this exercise in a group setting, having everyone bring an object to be read. Some common choices include jewelry and photographs, but try not to feel limited to these items. Everyone will take an item, selected at random, and record their impressions. You can do this out loud, or silently. Having several people in a room together is a great way to help boost the power of mind, as you are more likely to tap into the group’s collective subconscious.
If you find that you do well with psychometry in a group setting, but are having difficulties with it on your own, you should try meditating beforehand. Being in a psychic state is crucial to making the most of your psychic talents and abilities, and psychometry is no exception. It might sound obvious, but if you are not a believer of your own talents, they will not develop. You might feel pressured to succeed in your psychic endeavors, but when you feel free to experiment with your talents, you are far more likely to excel than when you are stressed out or doing it for other reasons than your own. Give your psychic abilities a try and be sure to note your progress in not only psychometry, but also in the power of mind.
The Power of Mind Precognition
by Irwin on Jan.30, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind features the talent of precognition, also known as future sight. Precognition is the psychic talent of acquiring information, generally information of the near future, through means outside of the five primary senses. Instead of learning about something through various types of reasoning or logic, you will obtain this knowledge through the mind, often through the third or mind’s eye.
If you are looking to enhance your precognitive abilities in a casual setting, there are many ways to do this, even when you are running your daily errands or going about your daily business. Try predicting which cashier will ring you up when you are waiting in line to buy something. While playing a board game with the family or friends, try predicting if the roll of the dice will be even or odd. When you have achieved a success rate noticeably higher than fifty percent, you can begin to predict what the numbers on the dice might read. Whether you choose to predict the total sum of the two dice or the number that might show up on each individual die, you will be working to improve the mind power of precognition.
If you like working with a partner to help power the mind, you can try this exercise. Select three distinct objects, each one different from the others. Regular household objects will do. You can choose something like a fork, a drinking glass, a magazine, a piece of jewelry or any small item you can find in your house will do. Set the items in front of your partner, and ask him or her to select one at random. Before he or she chooses, you should choose which one you feel your partner will choose. In other words, you predict what your friend will choose, and then your friend chooses.
Another way you can work on strengthening your precognition is to keep a dream journal. You should write down anything that stands out from your night’s dreams and see if any of the images, impressions or feelings from your nightly visions manifest in reality. We all dream, and though many dreams are not memorable, we often wake with some impressions or thoughts on what our subconscious mind has shown us while we were sleeping. Any of these exercises and techniques are sure to help you become stronger in your psychic talent of precognition, as well as providing a strong way to power the mind.
The Power of Mind Divination
by Irwin on Jan.12, 2010, under Psychic
The power of mind development is a process you can take up in even the smallest amounts of spare time. Divination is a psychic talent that is a more involved method of using precognition. If you have ever read any of the Harry Potter books or if you saw the movies, you might remember divination class, and some of the methods the kids used. While Harry Potter is obviously a work of fiction, many divination practices are real and have firm believers. For example, you can try reading tea leaves or tarot cards. There is a nearly endless supply of ways to try out divination. When you practice these, you are also working on precognition, even if it is future sight seen through a medium.
If you enjoy a nice cup of hot tea, you should try reading tea leaves. Begin with a loose tea leaf, as opposed to a teabag. You should use a white or lightly colored teacup so the leaves stand out clearly. As your water for tea heats, put your tea leaves on a saucer and stir them around. This puts the power of mind and your energy into them. One of the most important tips for brewing your tea for divination purposes is to brew the tea without straining it. If you strain it, you will have no leaves to read. Once you have brewed your tea, you should think of a specific question as you sip it. Be careful not to drink any tea leaves and to leave a bit of liquid in the cup.
In your left hand, swirl the liquid and leaves in the cup clockwise three times. Cover the cup with your right hand and swirl the leaves up around the sides. Look for various formations in the cup. Unlike many fictional representations of tea reading, you are not likely to see a literal shape. There are symbols to learn, however. A triangle is a sign of good karma whereas a square shows a need to be cautious. A circle is a sign of success. Letters often signify a loved one or a friend, and numbers indicate a span of time. There will also be many random clumps. It is then up to you to decipher what each bit looks like. Your instincts and the power of mind should guide you as to what these seemingly meaningless shapes look like. Some examples could be an oak tree that symbolizes health, a lock symbolizes obstacles, or a witch foreshadows a strange happening.
As with other divination techniques, the images are significant of other things than their literal meanings. Learning about common symbols can help you become more adept at reading tea leaves and other aspects of divination and even precognition. Keep working and practicing to feel a noticeable increase in the power of mind.
