Your mind power is a basic term to consider for any of the various psychic talents available to you, such as precognition. Also known as future sight, precognition is the sudden acquisition of future information that is obtained through means that are currently scientifically unexplainable. This phenomenon is frequently categorized as a form of extra-sensory perception, or ESP, like clairvoyance. Despite being generally unaccepted by the scientific community, there is a lot of information on precognition and ways to increase it.
There have been many studies that attempt to prove the existence of precognition. Free-response studies examine dreams or waking visions as responses to various stimuli. Most precognitive experiments have revolved around the forced-choice method, however. This sort of test began in the 1930s at Duke University under the guidance of J.B. Rhine. Rhine’s experiments featured a desk of twenty-five cards, each with one of five geometrical symbols on it. The element of precognition was that the subjects being tested made their guesses before the deck was shuffled. While scientists may leave these results to chance, you can perform an exercise like this to help increase your mind power.
Instead of conducting an experiment in a laboratory setting, you can take a more casual approach to Rhine’s idea. This is a great exercise that can help you boost your mind power and raise your precognition skills. Whether or not you make your own deck of cards as outlined in the experiment, you can perform this activity at home. Picture the symbols on the cards in your mind, and focus on creating a sequence. You may want to start with very few draws, as low as five. As you grow more confident in your mind power, try predicting the entire deck. Only after you have recorded your predictions should you shuffle the deck.
If you are unexcited by the idea of cards, you could try this exercise with colored marbles. Have a bag you cannot see through as well as a set of marbles in five different colors. Before putting the marbles into your bag, use your mind power to see the colors of the marbles as you draw them from the bag. Depending on how you picture things in your mind’s eye, you might be more capable at sensing colors rather than geometric shapes. After recording your prediction, place the marbles into the bag and begin to draw them. Even if your predictions do not exceed probability at first, these exercises will likely enhance your precognition and strengthen your mind power.
